El Código de Red es creado por la Comisión Reguladora de Energía (CRE) el 8 de abril de 2016 y actualizado en su segunda revisión el 31 de diciembre de 2021. En 2025, la CRE se reestructura como CNE (Comisión Nacional de Energía).

• It is a document that establishes the minimum technical requirements that members of the electricity industry must comply with regarding the impact of their activities on the National Electric System (SEN).

• This study makes it possible to evaluate the condition of the electrical infrastructure, its contribution under normal conditions to the SEN, and in case of planned or unplanned events, the impact on it.
